Holes

We learn, that in Sams time the onions were also used to defend yourself agaist lizards. They woul not bite you because they don't like onions. This was the reason why the lizards did not bite Stanley and Zero.
The lawer explains that Stanleys fahter found a way to eliminate foot odore.

Back at the camp, Stanleys lawer wants to see Zeros file, but this has been deleted by the warden. because of the missing file, the Warden has no authority about Zero anymore. The two boys are free now.

A few hours later, Sanleys lawer arrived. She could prove that the suitcase is Sanleys posses and not like the Wareden claimed, stolen form her cabine. After they two boys were completely in the sunshine the lizares leave them.

Mr Sir tells Staneley that his lawer is here and that they found out he is innocent. The Warden plans plans to show the loyer that Stanley were bitten by lizareds when he tried to escape. She wants to bury Zero at once, to make it look more like an accident.
Ate 4.30 the next morning the Lizards are still on them, but they still don't try to bite them.

Stanley and Zero have got many lizareds on them wich lived in the hole. The Warden wants them to be bitten by the lizars to take the suticas afterwards.

They start making the hole wider and after a time, they find a suitecase. In the end they manage to get it out of the hole. The Warden allready expectes them beside the hole.

At the morning Zero tells Staley his fist memorys from his home and that they moved out later.
After that they start to walk back to Mary Lous ship. On the way Staley learns even more about Zeros live. Zero recovers totaly and thanks of his sence of oriantation they reach the camp shortly bevore sunset. They plan to dig as long as it is safe at the hole were the golden Thumb was in and then steal some food and walk along the street away from te camp.

Two days later, Stanley relizes that they could't live on onions forever and so he suggestes to go back to the camp and dig on at the place he found the lipstick. He hopes to find the treasure the Warden was looking for.

In this Chapter Zero is telling the whole story of stealing the shoes to Stanley. He seems to have a strange sence of justice, because he explains that he only took as much as he realy needed.

150 years ago Sam's onions were the medicin wich helped against any illness. It allways worked.
Stanley wondered the next day, why tere are only a few onions, because if they would grow there, there would be more. In the afternoon, Staley fetches up the shovel he had to leave futher down when he had to carry Zero. He needs the shovel to make the waterhole deeper.
